In an event described by many as electrifying and glamorous, former Miss Jennifer Abah, a Law undergraduate of the University of Jos and daughter of Public Affairs Analyst and Development Communications Consultant, Mr. Matthew Abah, took the conjugal vow with her heart-throb, a social role-model and calmly handsome Dr. Jacob Arumona.

In a homily at St. Peter’s Catholic Church ,Rukuba Road, Jos, visiting officiating Priest Rev Father Imo Ejeh told the new couple and the spell-bound congregation that while the present generation of those taking to the alter of Holy Matrimony have the computer age to contend with in terms of their needs to maintain the normal privacy of a matrimonial institution, the corner-stone that should never be ignored is the habit of praying together and being unabashedly dedicated to one another in all phases of life-endeavors. Host Priest Father Kizito Fwagwot and another spiritual friend of the family, Father Enokela who were all part of the officiating Team gave their blessings and prayed for God’s sustenance of the marriage.

The reception which took place at the revered grounds of the Jos Museum and Monuments in the highly adored Hall of Reining Balloons Event Central was attended by a compendium of who-is-who in Jos and Abuja Social circles. The Chairman of the reception event, Barrister Austine Dalyop who travelled all the way from Lagos to be present at the event said he could not have missed the day because it was not one that can be repeated in one’s life-time. The marriage Sponsors, Mr and Mrs Godwin Adikwu, a Directorate Officer of the Police Service Commission, in Abuja gave invaluable advises and surports to the new couple and warned them to be prepared for the life-time journey they had started together as it was going to be a combination of sunshine and unavoidable rains in their journey into the future.

The academia were fully represented by leadng minds like Professor Owoicho Akpa and Professor Ocholi who led a cream of other notable professionals to represent the irrepressible pressure group, the Idoma Forum, Jos, which the father of the bride is a member. Father of the bride-groom, Mr. Okoh Arumona, a retired senior Educationist who relished his presence in Jos long after his last visit when he came to earn his Masters degree in mathematics many years ago drew the admiration of friends and relations at the reception grounds. He said he could not ever be happier in life than he felt on the day.

Entertainers who mesmerized people at the event included a Youth Idoma Dance Group and a Micheal Jackson Nigerian replica, Ayiki ISUNICHICHI. In deed it was a glamorous day.
